Here's a card you don't so much choose to put in your deck... you must have it. White deprivation will kill off your Jem'Hadar personnel as surely as your opponent's nastiest strategy. And yet, the Jem'Hadar possess some skills that are virtually impossible to find on any other Dominion personnel. So unless Non-Aligned (Alpha Quadrant) personnel or Treaties are a part of your strategy, you'll need a steady supply of Ketracel-White.
The countdown of 3 is just enough to accomplish quite a bit. You can move out, attack an opponent, and make it back to your outpost with a turn to spare. You can fly through the Bajoran Wormhole
and still have time to construct a Remote Supply Depot
. If you're planning an extended trip away from your facility, though, a Vorta is absolutely necessary. Without one present to "ration" the supply of White, your Jem'Hadar will consume all of it simultaneously, bringing the threat of deprivation that much more quickly.
Keeping your Jem'Hadar in White may seem like a lot of trouble, but as a reward you get their incredibly high STRENGTH (and often, INTEGRITY). Augmented with one or two Jem'Hadar hand weapons, there are likely to stun or even mortally wound any adversary in a personnel battle.
Combos:
- Ketracel-White + Gurat'urak
: Help keep your opponent's Disruptor Overload
s from depleting your supply of White even faster. - Ketracel-White + Manheim's Dimensional Door
: Take advantage of a Dominion opponent by having your own Ketracel-White card in hand. Every time they play one, you can "hiccup" it and play a free card of your own.
