"Wall dilemmas" (dilemmas that require certain conditions to continue past them) come in a wide variety, but not many are as demanding as this. In order to overcome Scientific Method, you need a MEDICAL and 3 - count 'em, 3 - SCIENCE. Best of all, it's a planet/space dilemma, so you'll have somewhere to seed it no matter what your opponent brings to the table.

Leading off a dilemma combo, Scientific Method can be used to force an opponent's crew or Away Team to gather a fair number of personnel (or perhaps some equipment like a Tricorderimage or Science Kitimage) before they can proceed with the mission. Building 3 of any personnel type can sometimes take a while. Bringing up the rear, Scientific Method is great for following up specific SCIENCE or MEDICAL hitters, forcing your opponent to get even more of those personnel in play after already having lost some.

    Combos:

    • Unscientific Methodimage + Scientific Method: There's more to this combo than just similar names. First, Unscientific Method strips out a SCIENCE personnel, then Scientific Method demands three more to continue. Coming up with 4 SCIENCE is very tough indeed.
    • Scientific Method + Unscientific Methodimage: In the reverse order, this combo ensures that there will be some SCIENCE present for the second dilemma to take out (assuming they don't all have Greed or Treachery). It's best at space missions, as it's the SCIENCE personnel who generally have most of the skills needed to solve them.
