    Seeds or play on table. Once per turn, you may discard a card from hand to search the past (your discard pile) for any one Alternate Universe event and take it into hand. Once per turn, may make Temporal Rift target a different ship.

    Characteristics: manipulate your discard pile.

    This card is designed to work with Temporal Shifting to provide Starfleet, or any mainly AU affiliation with a draw engine.  It works by allowing you to discard any card to retrieve an AU event form your discard pile, presumably Temporal Shifting, see the Temporal Shifting review for a more in-depth look at this.  However, it can also be used to facilitate the use of other strategies involving AU events.  Either way, this is a good card to keep in mind when figuring out your strategy as it does give you some interesting options.
