    Reactor Overload

This Card-Review article was written by Evan Lorentz and was published first on "Decipher's Website (decipher.com)" at Oct 11th, 1999.

This incident gives you the opportunity to present your opponent with a major risk to offset the power of ore processing to burn through his deck. If he processes ore at a modest rate - to exchange an unneeded card for a fresh draw - he's safe. If he works the processor too hard by going for the second card draw, he risks a reactor overload that destroys his Ore Processing Unit. The other use is defensive. If your ship or facility has been invaded by Borg (Rogue or not), super-strong androids or an unkillable horde of Fek'lhrs, flip the hidden agenda to kill, disable and erase the intruders. Best of all, in either case the incident goes back to your hand, so you can play it again next turn for continued protection.

    Combo:

    • Reactor Overload + Intruder Alert!: Whether your opponent is into Rogue Borg "pinging" or slaughter, you'll be ready for him.
