    Attack Pattern Delta

Under the new ship battle rules, both players must select the target of the attack or return fire (and the ships that will be firing) during the initiation of the battle - *before* you know exactly how strong the attack or defense will be due. Depending on the current tactic chosen by each player, what looked like a sure thing may become a little less predictable. This interrupt can help. First, if your ship has a Tactical Console, Attack Pattern Delta can double its effect for the duration of the battle. A sudden increase in your WEAPONS enhancement from +3 to +6 may turn the tide of battle for you. Or, if your Battle Bridge side deck contains a mix of Tactic cards, use the second function to give you a greater choice for your current tactic. Two ships in the battle will let you draw two extra Tactic cards, for a total of four, making it much more likely that you will draw the optimum tactic for this battle (you still get to use only one of the drawn tactics).

    Combos:

    • Attack Pattern Delta + Tactical Console + (Senator Letant OR Keogh): If your opponent attacks before you had a chance to draw Attack Pattern Delta, just use his special download for a surprise boost to your Tactical Console.
    • Attack Pattern Delta + a diverse Battle Bridge side deck: The more Tactic cards you can draw, the better your chances of finding the one you want.
